چکیده
Abstract The paper considers the problem of controlling multistability in a general class circuits composed linear time-invariant two-terminal (one port) element, containing R , L C components and ideal operational amplifiers, coupled with one mem-elements (memory elements) introduced by Prof. L.O. Chua, i.e., memristors, memcapacitors, meminductors. First, explicit expressions invariant manifolds circuit are directly given terms state variables element mem-element. Then, steering dynamics from an initial manifold to final one, hence potentially switch among different attractors circuit, is addressed designing pulse shaped control inputs. inputs ensure that transition between accomplished within finite time interval. Moreover, it shown how designed can be implemented introducing independent voltage current sources element. Notably, turns out always possible solve considered using unique source. Several examples provided illustrate proposed approach applied highlight influence features on behavior controlled dynamics.

Model reduction via parametrized locally invariant manifolds: Some examples
A method for model reduction in non-linear ODE systems is demonstrated through computational examples. The method does not require an implicit separation of time-scales in the fine dynamics to be effective. From the computational standpoint, the method has the potential of serving as a subgrid modeling tool. From the physical standpoint, it provides a model for interpreting and describing histo...

متن کاملSequential Action Control for Tracking of Free Invariant Manifolds
This paper presents a hybrid control method that controls to unstable equilibria of nonlinear systems by taking advantage of systems’ stable manifold of free dynamics. Resulting nonlinear controllers are closed-loop and can be computed in real-time. Thus, we present a computationally efficient approach to optimization-based switching control design using a manifold tracking objective. Our metho...
متن کاملInvariant Manifolds as Boundaries for Event-Driven Control Systems
ABSTRACT In event-driven control approaches, control updates are triggered by event conditions that are often characterized by different types of boundaries defined in the state-space domain. In this paper we define an event-driven control approach where boundaries are manifolds characterized as invariant sets. With such a boundary, a control update will only be activated when the system trajec...
